The annual Catalyzing Advocacy in Science and Engineering or CASEworkshop is hosted by the American Association for Advancement in Science (AAAS). The workshop is an opportunity for graduate students in science, engineering, social or behavioral sciences to learn about science policy, advocacy, and the federal policymaking process, empowering participants to become a voice for research throughout their careers.
Are you are interested in any of the following:
- exposure to the field of science policy?
- learning how to advocate and influence policy as a researcher
- building connections with science policy experts
Then, consider participating in 2025 AAAS CASE workshop on April 6-9 in Washington DC. CASE participants will learn about the structure and organization of Congress, the federal budget and appropriations process, and tools for effective science communication and civic engagement. There may be additional opportunity for congressional visits. Read here for more detailed information from AAAS.
