Bio/Description

Born in Chennai, India, and raised in Mahomet, Illinois, Barghav studied political science and communications at the University of Illinois. He is interested in examining climate adaptation and mitigation efforts through a human rights and equity lens across regional contexts, with a focus on indigenous peoples and marginalized communities. At Princeton, he is a Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion (DEI) Team member, and co-chairs the Students & Alumni of Color Association (SAOC) while pursuing a Master’s in Public Affairs with a concentration in international development. Prior to SPIA, Barghav served as a Fellow at the House Foreign Affairs Committee in the U.S. House of Representatives and worked on climate, migration, and human rights-related programming at the Middle East Institute in Washington DC.
