Before Princeton Charlie worked as a negotiator for the UK's Presidency of the United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change process. In this role he was part of the team that secured the Glasgow Climate Pact, agreed by 197 countries at COP26. Charlie worked closely on climate diplomacy and finance issues with counterparts internationally, including in Egypt, France, Germany, Turkey, USA, EU, the World Bank and the UN.
Charlie would like to dive deeper into climate and energy policy while at Princeton. He is interested in many things, including the political and economic factors shaping the global energy transition, public and private finance for climate action and ways to improve the effectiveness of national and global climate governance.
