Bio/Description
Dahyun is a PhD candidate in the Department of Politics and is affiliated with the Data-driven Social Science Initiative and the Program for Quantitative and Analytical Political Science. Her research focuses on interest group politics, lobbying, regulation, climate change, and American political institutions, using methods from computational social science and applied statistics.
In her dissertation, Dahyun seeks substantive insights into the understudied channels of political influence that interest groups use to shape regulatory standards through expertise and scientific information. She also explores interest group behavior in the legislative and executive branches, the courts, and the public sphere to influence climate policy outcomes.
