Bio/Description

Madeline is a Master in Public Affairs candidate at the Princeton School of Public Policy and International Affairs. She graduated Cum Laude from Duke University with a degree in Environmental Policy and concentration in Marine Science and Conservation.

Madeline served as an AmeriCorps member in New Orleans, where she responded to numerous declared emergencies including COVID-19 and Hurricane Ida. She fell in love with the Crescent City and decided to join the local government after her year of service, taking on various roles with the New Orleans Office of Homeland Security and Emergency Preparedness. Throughout her tenure, she especially enjoyed bringing together the local community, nonprofit agencies, and first responders.

At Princeton, Madeline is passionate about exploring the intersection between community-based environmental solutions and trauma informed disaster response.
