I am interested in the ecology and conservation of migratory species, especially that of shorebirds migrating along the East Asian-Australasian Flyway. Building upon my Phd dissertation looking at their local habitat use and migration routes, my postdoctoral research with Prof. Wilcove and Prof. Wikelski (@Max Planck Institute) aims to identify the patterns and determining factors behind the broader patterns of habitat use and migration strategies of these lovely and imperiled shorebirds, using a combination of field observations, individual tracking, and mathematical modeling.
Prior to Princeton, I received my B.S. from Peking University in 2014, and during my time there, I became an avid birdwatcher and also became aware of the conservation issues pertaining to birds and other organisms.
